The Ram 1500 has been an industry leader since its inception. There's always plenty of technology and luxury inside the cab, equal power and performance under the hood, and gobs of attitude at any job site around town. The roaring snarl of the monster 702-horsepower Hemi V8 has gone away, and in its place is a 3.0-liter inline six with twin turbochargers. Additionally, there is the regular V6 available, which is unchanged since 2024. The new high-performance inline six makes 540 horsepower. With the addition of the new Tungsten trim, there are now nine gasoline-powered trims from which to choose. If you select the snazzier engine, then you automatically get all-wheel drive, while you get the choice of rear-wheel drive with the regular V6.
The Tradesman is the entry-level trim, followed by the high-fuel efficiency model, Big Horn, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Limited, Longhorn, and Tungsten trims. The returning Warlock looks menacing with its all-black exterior, while the Tungsten bathes you in luxury that you might expect in a high-end European sedan. The Rebel continues to be the off-road choice, although none of the 2025 Ram 1500 trims are a slouch off the roads. In addition to the gasoline-powered trims, there are a hybrid Ram 1500 and an EV. The hybrid is called the Ramcharger, while the EV is the Ram 1500 REV. The various gasoline-powered trims focus on one set of features or another, adding bits of luxury and quirks.
The interior of even the Tradesman includes niceties that you wouldn't find in other trucks, including storage cubbyholes, cloth seats, and an inverter. All trims have the Ram Clean-Air System to maintain air quality in the cab. Multiple cab sizes are also available in all trims. As you pick higher and higher trims, you will experience more and more luxury, topping out in the incredibly sumptuous Tungsten. The Tungsten trim includes carbon-fiber accents, crystalline inlays, and leather seats with superior comfort, including massage, ventilation, and heating and cooling built in. All trims of the Ram have just about the roomiest cabs in the industry, particularly the Mega Cab, which seems almost like that of a large, two-row crossover or SUV.
The 2025 Ram 1500 is available in many colors, some of which are limited by trim. Fog lamps, illuminated entry, and heated exterior mirrors are all part of the list of features for most trims. You can select power-deployed running boards, larger wheels, and automatic headlights, all standard on the Tungsten. You even get an attachment with a map-reading light.
The Hurricane Inline Six gets you to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The dual electric motors of the REV push you there in 4.4 seconds, the same speed as the Ramcharger's. The Ramcharger ushers in a new era of hybrid technology. It only has the standard V6 gasoline engine available, but the shtick is that it isn't connected to the powertrain at all. It only exists to charge the battery. This setup gives the hybrid a massive range of nearly 700 miles. The REV, too, offers brand-new technology that gets it to 500 miles. With its massive charging speed capacity, it can add 110 miles to the range after just 10 minutes of charging.
Regarding towing, the REV can pull seven short tons while carrying 1.25 short tons in the bed, both of which are near the top of the heap for vehicles in the 2025 Ram 1500 class. The Ramcharger has the same towing capacity. That makes them the most powerful pullers in the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup.
The Tradesman has an 8.3-inch infotainment screen, while other trims expand that to 12.3 inches and, in some cases, 14.5 inches or more. Even the passenger gets a 10.3-inch screen that provides entertainment and access to the navigation program of the 2025 Ram 1500. The Tungsten also includes a 1,200-watt stereo system with 23 speakers for the utmost in vehicle sound. You can pick dual wireless device chargers, heads-up displays, digital rearview mirrors, and various navigation aids, which some trims include. All trims have infotainment systems compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The higher trims also include a mobile Wi-Fi hub with 5G connectivity.
Ram is also unveiling a Level-II autonomous driving assistant. It's not quite the planned Level-III system in the industry, but it allows hands-free driving under certain conditions. Showing off the 2025 Ram 1500's unbeatable technology is one of our great joys here at David Taylor CDJR of Murray.
Aside from the advanced Level-II system, there are several Level-II features that will still function while you have your hands on the wheel. These include lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, emergency braking, pedestrian and rear cross-traffic warning systems, and adaptive cruise control. Some trims also have Park Sense as an optional feature, which will help you park the full-sized 2025 Ram 1500 anywhere while monitoring all sides of the vehicle for obstructions.
