Dodge Hornet Exterior and Interior Design

Hornet exteriors boast an appearance reminiscent of muscle car builds. Fierce-looking front ends feature sculpted and sharp line accented hoods that curve downward to meet narrow linear headlights and a matching exposed, narrow mesh grille. Three-dimensional, angled architecture reveals more of the grille and engine vent along with potential fog light housings. Looking at the Hornet from the side indicates a slight aerodynamic profile that ends in a rooftop spoiler. Other features include arched wheel wells, a large, side body convex curve and lower body cladding. Rear ends have multi-layered, linear horizontal convex curves and lower body cladding. Tinted windows all around provide glare protection and privacy.

Basic GT five-passenger interiors have a combination of fabric/synthetic leather upholstery. All of the GT models have 27 cubic feet of cargo room that extends to 54.7 cubic feet when folding the rear seats. R/T PHEV models have slightly reduced cargo spaces. GT Plus models add leather-upholstered interiors along with power-adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats. Steering wheels come encased in leather.

Dodge Hornet Technological Amenities

Starting at the entry-level, the Hornet models available to [GEO] area consumers allow owners to unlock the doors without a key. Push the ignition button to start the commute. All occupants experience a cozy ride year-ride secondary to the automatic climate control system that regulates two zones. Drivers monitor vehicle information and receive safety alert notifications via the 12.3-inch digital instrument display. Basic infotainment systems come with 10.25-inch touchscreens and allow wireless smartphone integration. The units also feature six-speaker stereos with AM/FM satellite radio and CD players. Bluetooth allows up to two passengers to use their phones without their hands.

GT Plus SUVs add HD radio, navigation software and a premium 14-speaker stereo to the infotainment system. A sunroof enhances the view while adding more natural light. Rearview mirrors dim automatically at night to protect the driver's vision. Rear liftgates offer hands-free functionality.

Dodge Hornet Power and Performance Specs

Basic GT models on display at [DEALER] located in [GEO] have turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engines, automatic nine-speed transmissions and AWD to put out 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. GT SUVs have the ability to accelerate to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds while having an estimated EPA rating of 21 mpg/29 mpg. Advancing to the R/T level adds more power in the form of a plug-in mild hybrid setup that combines a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and battery to generate 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. R/T models have the ability to drive up to 32 miles on electric power alone while having the same EPA gas-powered rating as GT models. Both drivetrains enable the compact SUV to pull up to 2,000 pounds.

Dodge equips all of the Hornet models with a lengthy list of more that one dozen tech features that help protect occupants when driving in or out of the [GEO] region. Safety features minimize the risk of suffering a collision from any angle by providing drivers with a warning should danger arise. In addition, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control helps conserve fuel. Windshield wipers initiate automatically when sensing moisture.
